often has a death or something that happens in the begginging that the book is about and the whole story is about how they figure out what happened.

has a problem and a solution but anything could happen and the story revolves around the characters.

Something that could happen in the story is that someone could be locked in a house were everyone dies except for this person and they have to try to get out without getting killed.
